Atlanta Pride is an event I look forward to every year. I get to spend it with the greatest people I have ever known and glad to call friends, support the LGBT community and enjoy the most entertaining parade known to man. The main purpose of the APC is to promote unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons and to promote a positive image in the Atlanta area and throughout the Southeastern United States through community activities and services. Atlanta Pride has so many activities for the community this year it has overwhelmed me in what to choose to put in this blog. So here it goes.

The Annual Trans March promotes visibility of the trans community. The march starts at 1:15. Later that evening at 6pm the Annual Dyke March will kickoff at the Charles Allen Gate. The Dyke March unites to create an atmosphere of inclusion and community. The march is open to all women of and race, orientation, ability, faith and age.
One thing I can’t wait for is to get to the festival and dance my tail off. The Atlanta Pride Committee (APC) has announced the Official Entertainment Lineup for the 2012 Pride Festival Weekend.
Along with the parade, marketplace and a full weekend of festivities, the festival will once again feature two stages of entertainment (Coca-Cola Stage and Bud Light Stage). WiLD (105.7/96.7 FM) is bringing hot talent to the Festival in the embodiment of Rita Ora! So don't miss her on Saturday at 7:05pm performing on the Coca-Cola stage. Now put on those heels and lets get FABULOUS!
Note: Remember that some rules have changed. No pets are allowed in the park for the festival and no smoking. No grills are allowed and all grills in the park will not be for use during the festival.
