BEER. BANDS. BACON.
Baconfest is an annual outdoor festival orchestrated by the genius folks at Dad's Garage Theatre Company. The festival continues to grow each year with recurring highlights that include hoards of bacon, plenty of beer, live entertainment, hilarious carnival games (e.g. wheelchair obstacle course, insult booth, Hobo wine tasting), and a silent auction with enough variety to please almost anyone with a pulse. This event is a fundraiser for Dad's Garage.
Get a feel of Porkadise Saturday, March 30th starting at 1pm and go full boar until with four local bands, hysterical carnival games manned by the best improvisers in the city, and as much cold beer you can drink and don’t forget sizzling' bacon (from The Vortex and D.B.A. Barbecue). If you want to fee like a kid again, Baconfest brings you adult-like games such as a drunken spelling bee, the crowning of bacon king and queen, and more) as well as a succulent silent auction, and even two slow smoked whole hogs (from P'Cheen) for those of you that want to put in a little extra to really pig out.
PORKADISE PASSES:
Bottomless Bacon: ($47 online, $57 phone/gate): For the professional piggy that really knows how to shovel it in. This pass gets you admission to the festival, unlimited game playing, and all the PBR and bacon you can stuff in your stomach. **Please note, like anywhere else in the world, we expect you drink responsibly. Please don't be a jerk and overdo it. We will escort you out if you do.
Whole Hog!: Literally. ($87 online, $97 phone/gate) They will be wheeling in two whole pigs roasted to perfection by P'Cheen, several kegs of specialty beer and you even get your very own BaconFest 2013 tee-shirt. This is on top of the unlimited beer, bacon, and games. There are a very limited number of these passes available, so snatch them up quick before somebody else gets their greasy little snout on them.
