Cinco de Mayo Festivities

Cinco De Mayo is finally here! During this holiday we fill ourselves with alcohol, tacos and well...more alcohol.  Here is a list of some activities around the Atlanta area that will help you enjoy Cinco De Mayo.

The 6th annual Fiesta Atlanta will take place Sunday May 6th, 2012 at Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown, Atlanta and will be featuring the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration in the southeast. This festival is family friendly and will bring you Mariachi music, Mexican folk dancing, a 5K race, arts, authentic foods and many more. Festival starts at 10am and ends at 7pm and is free and open to the public.

Tin Lizzy’s Cantina is hosting a Stash Dash Fundraiser partnering with the Atlanta nonprofit, One Love Generation. The admission fee is $25 which includes a T-shirt and a gift card to Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, one of several sponsors. A pre-party event will be held May 3rd, from 3-9 pm at the Buckhead Tin Lizzy’s for runners to pick up their race numbers and goodie bags. On Cinco de Mayo, the party starts at 7:30 a.m., and the race at 9 a.m. The route begins and ends at Tin Lizzy’s, circling around Piedmont and Roswell roads. So come at and party with Q100 and Dos Esquis.
No Mas Cantina is hosting 5 days of Cinco de Mayo ending with a huge fiesta (21 and up only) on May 5th! Located in the Castleberry Hill area, this restaurant offers Mexican cuisine in an upscale ambiance on two levels.  Admission is free.

Cinco De Mayo Pub Crawl New York
For all of you who don’t like to sit in one spot for too long, like myself, you may want to attend the Happy Hour Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl starting May 4th, at 7:00pm. A two day all access pass is $20 and gives you access to all participating bars. You can register at Deadwood Saloon ( 66 12th Street Northeast) and purchase your tickets at http://www.pubcrawls.com/.

I don't know about you, but this year I plan on drinking a nice Mexican Bulldog. Even though it's made for two...I will be drinking for one. Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone!

Drink responsibly. Drive Safely.
